Feature Request: Cloning fields

How do I clone a field? Is there a way to do this. I think not.
And by cloning, I mean that all the contents stored within it from all the records, should be duplicated, to remain intact.

In the 6th version, this cannot be done.

In version 7, a limited SQL query mechanism has already been added, which will allow you to copy data from one field of an object to another.
It will be necessary to use it very carefully, having a good understanding of the principles of how SQL queries work.
